I missed the beginning of Enemy at the Gates but one I first begun to watch it, I was a bit confused and skeptical because I don’t enjoy watching war movies. As the movie progressed I began to be more interested in the war and how it came to be. Many of the soviet men were dying in the front so I came to believe for a moment that the Nazis were going to be victorious. A sniper Vasily Zaistev was introduced and the soviet men began to regain hope. There was a young boy who was a double agent and I never really understood why he became one because he knew what he was facing and if it were up to me, I wouldn’t have done it. The boy Sasha had an idol whom was Vasily and he wanted to help him out but I think that was a lot of responsibility placed on him. He also didn’t realize the troubles he could be getting his family into. I enjoyed that there was a love story put into place throughout the movie because it made me more interested.
