There was a big difference between the Feb./March Revolution and the Oct./Nov. Revolution. The Feb./March Revolution was unsuccessful because during the war there was such little food for the citizens because it was being given to the troops fighting in the war. The Provisional government wanted to back out of the war because of this issue but they decided they couldn't because of the price they would have to pay. Germany would make them give away a big portion of their land and they didn't think it was worth it. The Oct./Nov. Revolution was very successful because Lenin promised peace, land and bread so everyone wanted him in power. He dropped out of the war so he could give the people what he had promised and as a result, the Germans took a chunk of there land but with that, the citizens got food.
