The members of the Big Three were Woodrow Wilson (President of the United States), Georges Clemenceau (French Prime Minister) and David Lloyd George (British Prime Minister). They were the main leaders responsible for the formation of the Treaty of Versailles during World War. Woodrow Wilson wanted to slightly punish Germany and he also wanted to get self determination and enforce the 14 points towards peace that he submitted. David Lloyd George also wanted to punish Germany but ever so slightly as well because he still wanted to maintain trade links between Germany to help the British economy. Georges Clemenceau wanted to punish Germany harshly and same with many other french people, unlike the other two leaders . He also wanted to stop the threat of Germany by destroying them. Vittorio Emanuele Orlando was once part of the big four and he was the Prime minister of Italy. Italy was supposed gain land as part of the treaty but they never ended up getting it so the group then became the Big Three.
